Dr. Laura Hong, Family Practice Physician, joined
the Lac qui Parle Clinic, Madison, MN in December 1992. Her medical degree is
from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She completed her
postgraduate training at the University of Saskatchewan and spent 10 years in
an established medical practice in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Dr. Hong came to
Minnesota in 1990 and spent two years at ville, Minnesota before coming to
Madison in 1992. In 1996 she received the degree of Fellow of the American
Academy of Family Physicians, which recognized physicians who have
distinguished themselves through service to family medicine and professional
development. She has served on three medical missions to her native Philippines
since coming to Madison. Family practice physicians provide care for all
members of the family and are trained to treat the majority of medical problems
for their patients of all ages.

Dr. Larry Grong, Internal Medicine/Pediatrics joined
the Lac qui Parle Clinic, Madison, MN August 1997. He received his
undergraduate degree at Southwest State University, Marshall, MN and attended
medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Kirksville,
Missouri. His postgraduate training was at Western Reserve Care System in
Youngstown, Ohio where he had a dual residency in Internal Medicine and
Pediatrics. Internists specialize in diagnosis and treatment of diseases
affecting the internal organs. As a pediatrician he specializes in the care of
children.

Dr. Brant Hacker, Family Practice Physician joined
the Lac qui Parle Clinic, Madison, MN September 2005. He received his under
graduate degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris. After working as a
scientist for a research lab for five years, he enrolled at the University of
MN Medical School, receiving his Doctorate of Medicine in May 2002. He joined
the Lac qui Parle Clinic after completing his final residency in the summer of
2005. Dr. Hacker is a Family Practice Physician also trained in obstetrics and
provides pre-natal, delivery, and post-natal care for mothers and
newborns.

Theresa Bly, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner,
completed a Masters degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the
University of MN in August 1999. She had been employed as a clinic nurse in
Madison since 1980. In 1997 she was a recipient of a Ladders in Nursing Careers
Scholarship which helped her achieve the training which culminated with her
position on the medical staff at Lac qui Parle Clinic in September 1999. Family
Nurse Practitioners are trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat all members of
the family.

Michael E. Deyo, Physician Assistant Certified,
joined the Lac qui Parle Clinic, Madison, MN in September 1995. He completed
his Physician Assistant training in January 1995 at the University of North
Dakota School of Medicine. Previous medical background included a Bachelor of
Nursing Science degree, Emergency Medical Technician and paramedic training. As
a Family Practice Physician Assistant, he provides primary care for patients of
all ages including performing physical exams, prescribing medications,
recording patient histories, assisting in surgery and emergency room coverage.

Audiology
Dr. Grace Berry, Audiologist, and Melanie Peterson, Audiology
Secretary provide audiology and hearing aid services. They are located in a
newly remodeled office wing at the Madison Lutheran Home located at 900 2nd
Ave.

Physicians often refer patients to an
audiologist for evaluation of hearing problems which can be caused by illness,
accidents, and nerve damage. Audiologists, with their extensive training, can
determine the cause of hearing loss and the most appropriate treatment for it.
Hearing evaluations for all ages, including newborns can be done using state of
the art equipment. The Audiologist makes hearing aid recommendations offering
the latest in digital technology. |

| The Madison Hospital Laboratory has advanced technology and
equipment to do routine and advanced diagnostic testing including prostate
screening, thyroid studies, micro albumin tests for diabetics and folate
panels related to vitamin B12 problems. In a matter of minutes the
laboratory can analyze enzymes that indicate cardiac problems requiring
emergency treatment. The Madison Hospital is fortunate to have the latest
in technology and equipment to provide accurate and detailed information.

Physical Therapy
The Madison Hospital has a very active physical therapy department thanks to a long association with Big Stone Therapies. Physical therapy staff help with sports injuries, back and neck problems, exercises to relieve arthritis, hip and knee fractures and replacements to name just a few common muscle and joint problems physical therapy deals with. In addition, physical therapy has advanced into new areas which include pediatric therapist, sports enhancement programs, women's health issues, and cardiac
rehabilitation. Physical therapist can also analyze a work site to prevent
potential injuries and speed up the safe return to work
